Professional education needs life time commitment and intensive training of four year’s education such as the engineering, medical and law professions in keeping with the tradition of professional education, a new four year program B.Ed. 4 Yeas is presented in the following pages. In order to make teaching a profession of choice through implementing B.Ed. (12+4) program developed in 2006, it is imperative to revise the current curriculum to improve the teacher development program further. A teacher in the classroom needs to be competent in the content areas as well as in teaching strategies in order to ensure expected student learning outcomes. As in any profession teachers should be provided the opportunity to practice teaching through interacting with the school and community. In the clinical model of developing teachers as professionals, it is important for that prospective teacher to gain adequate insight into the ground realities of school and classrooms through their attachments in schools and communities. This rich experience of practice enables prospective teachers to bring a positive attitude in classroom teaching and understanding a plurality of cultures.
Bachelor of Education (1.5Years) B.Ed (1.5)
The Bachelor of Education (BEd) program is designed to provide initial teacher training for individuals aspiring to join the teaching workforce. This program offers candidates the opportunity to transform into professional educators while developing essential leadership skills. It equips them to address and propose solutions to indigenous challenges within Pakistan's education system, enabling them to navigate the complexities of current educational policies and procedures. By enriching their knowledge, skills, and values, the program aims to cultivate effective future education leaders in Pakistan. The mission of the BEd program is to produce classroom teachers who demonstrate content excellence, pedagogical competence, commitment, and integrity. Its vision is to prepare exceptional school teachers and educational leaders who are well-equipped to make a positive impact in the field of education.
Bachelor of Education (2.5Years) B.Ed (2.5)
The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program, spanning 2.5 years, is designed to equip aspiring educators with the essential knowledge and skills for effective teaching. This program combines theoretical foundations in educational psychology, curriculum development, and pedagogy with practical training in classroom management and instructional strategies. Students engage in hands-on experiences through teaching practicums, allowing them to apply their learning in real educational settings. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, communication, and reflective practice, preparing graduates to address diverse learning needs and foster inclusive environments. Additionally, the program covers contemporary issues in education, technology integration, and assessment methods. Graduates of the B.Ed program are well-prepared for various roles in the education sector, including teaching in primary and secondary schools, educational administration, and curriculum design. Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design
The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design is a four-year Professional Degree Program that focuses on emerging learners creative and practical skills in field of Visual Communication. Course combines both designing and practical trainings to prepare students for careers in graphic design, web design, art director, branding, advertising, UX/UI designer, illustrator, CG Artist, film and video production, photography and multimedia arts. Program aims to foster a level of confidence in use of fundamentals of design, visual elements, typography and image composition to effectively communicate ideas. During this program, students learn to express understanding of personal, social, cultural, and historical contexts that influence design industry. Students engage in design process through conceptualization, experimentation and self-evaluation while developing theoretical and technical versatility and proficiency. Through practical approaches, the program encourages pupils to substitute an appreciation of graphic arts in general, digital media, digital artists and designers in local and international context.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting
The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting is a four-year Professional Degree Program that focused on development of advanced skills in various painting techniques. The course combines both artistic and practical trainings to prepare students for career in realm of Visual Arts as professional artists, educators, art critics, art consultants, curators and many more. Students explore traditional and contemporary approaches to painting, learn to express ideas and emotions through visual art. The curriculum includes drawing, color theory, art history, art therapy, sculpture, printmaking, calligraphy, miniature, digital arts and various painting methods. Students also engage in studio practice, critique sessions and express understanding of personal, social, cultural and historical contexts that influence the art extents. The sense of completion will foster an ambiance of enjoyment and appreciation of fine arts, knowledge of artists and craftspeople. Program enables pupils to analyze, interpret and evaluate the form and content of artworks.
Bachelor of Science in Sociology
BS Sociology program is designed to generate a leading edge-edge research culture with global impact as well as to produce broad, creative and entrepreneurial leaders for the knowledge-based economy.
