BS Special Education

The BS Special Education program is a comprehensive undergraduate degree designed to prepare educators, professionals, and advocates equipped to meet the unique needs of individuals with disabilities. The program emphasizes inclusive education, evidence-based teaching strategies, and individualized support plans tailored to diverse learners. Students will explore core areas such as assessment and evaluation, instructional strategies, behavior management, assistive technologies, and legal and ethical considerations in special education. This degree fosters critical thinking, empathy, and collaboration by providing hands-on experiences through internships, practicum opportunities, and partnerships with schools and community organizations. Graduates of the program are well-prepared to pursue careers as special education teachers, educational consultants, therapists, or advocates, or to continue with advanced studies.
