BS Microbiology and Molecular Genetics

The Microbiology and Molecular Genetics department is an endeavor in carrying out new and stirring discoveries in microbial ecology and pathogenesis, molecular genetics, genomics etc. This is a broad-based and multidisciplinary program that aids in the attainment of knowledge, awareness of new technology and international standards-based research in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. This program will produce well trained graduates of skilled Microbiologists and Molecular Biologists for society. Graduates in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics will have job opportunities in Hospitals, Diagnostic lab, Pharmaceutical Industry, Food Industry, Research Organizations, Teaching Institutes etc. This program aims to produce specifically trained Microbiologists with special orientation in Agricultural, Industrial, environmental, Medical Microbiology, Genomics and Proteomics.
